Meet Mike / Guitar Lessons

Mike started playing guitar at age 13 and joined a popular teen rock band within a year. It changed his life. Playing most weekends at teen dances all over the Shore he found his identity by becoming the "cool guy in the rock band".  As an adult he excelled working for 24 years in sales/customer service/ human resources while continuing to perform weekends and teaching (starting In 1981). He liked teaching and was very successful. When the opportunity to leave the "corporate world" presented itself in 2003 he started teaching as a full time profession. Over his total 40 years of teaching Mike has developed is own intuitive style of teaching. Mike takes note of each student's learning style, talent and time to practice and will modify his teaching approach based on what works. No "canned lessons" here! Everyone is different and being a "chameleon" teacher equates to a lot of success!  Mike makes lessons fun and fast for children & adults.  His commitment extends beyond teaching. Several times a year he hosts family friendly showcases  for students, as well as band camps, summer programs, and more. Success has lead to adding instructors and locations in Easton Maryland and Seaford Delaware. Mike still performs solo, as a duo and in bands for special events.
